Once you know how much you can afford and what you want to get out of that budget your contractor can help you realize what is realistic and what simply is not. For example, if you have a huge kitchen, granite countertops and industrial stows may not be a combination that you can afford on your budget. However if you have a small area, you may be able to afford both of these things.
Stainless steel countertops are used in most industrial galleries because they are easy to clean and maintain, and they are great for preparing food on without showing any wear, age or damage. If that's not the look you're going for in your kitchen, granite is also a popular type of material for counters but unfortunately it's an expensive choice.
So plan your budget, understand your goals, and be very clear with your contractor about both of these things, and you should be able to create whatever dream remodel youre after.
It may take a while to get done, but take it to heart because the end product will be something you can live with for quite a long time. And that's good, because you don't want to go through this again.
