Integrated Liebherr for the Kitchen
Integration is a process of combining or accumulating. Integrated Liebherr appliances are available in a range of sizes and with a selection of features dependent upon the model that you choose. This article explores some of the options available in the integrated Liebherr range.
Integration literally means an act or instance of combining two or more things into an integral whole. It can also mean a behaviour that is in harmony with the environment. Integrated appliances are designed to blend and be built in to existing kitchen units.
Built- in appliances are designed to fit easily behind unit doors. They are ideal for integration into a fitted kitchen and they create a uniform look. Built- in integrated Liebherr appliances can be fitted with the door in two ways. One way is the sliding system where the unit door is fastened straight onto the unit and connected to the appliance door with a sliding rail. This means that when the door is opened and closed, the unit door slides along the rail.
The second way that the appliance can be integrated into the unit is the door-on-door system, which means that the unit door and appliance door are firmly connected to each other by the unit door being fixed directly onto the appliance door. All of the under-worktop integrated Liebherr appliances are interconnected with the door- on- door method under an existing worktop and behind the unit door.
Liebherrs built- in appliances for integrated use range in height from 88cm to 178cm and come with a minimum energy efficiency rating of A, making the fridge- freezers cheap to run in comparison to a less energy efficient appliance.
Some, but not all, of the built- in integrated Liebherr fridge- freezers also come with BioFresh and Soft Stop technology. The BioFresh technology allows fresh food to be stored for longer and slows down the process of the food going off. Biofresh appliances keep the temperature at just above 0C and the humidity at the ideal point for fruit and vegetables, meat and fish, which helps fresh food retain their healthy vitamins for up to three times longer than in an average refrigerator compartment. The SoftStop technology takes the shock out of the fridge door being slammed shut by cushioning the blow and preventing the fridge door from becoming damaged.
There are over twenty different models within the integrated Liebherr range. The net capacities of this selection range from 134 to 330 litres, so there should be an option available for most households whether it is a single household or a large family with bigger food storage needs.
The majority of integrated Liebherr fridges and freezers are interconnected by the door- by- door method, but the four fridge- freezers fitted with the sliding door method are the IKS 1524 Comfort, the IKS 1720 Comfort, the IKS 2254 Comfort and the IKS 2450 Comfort models. The IKB 3454 PremiumPlus BioFresh model has the BioFresh technology and SoftStop features and has won the Plus X Award for ease of use and ecology.
This particular model is available globally including Armenia, Austria, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Belgium, Belarus, Czech Republic, Germany, Denmark, Estonia, Spain, Finland, Georgian Republic, Greece, Croatia, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Kirghizia , Kazakhstan, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Latvia, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Romania, Russia, Sweden, Slovenia, Slovakia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, Great Britain and Uzbekistan.
