Eurocucina, which takes place in conjunction withthe Salone Internazionale del Mobile (International Furniture Fair) each twoyears (the date of the next fair has already been decided, 17-22 April 2012),has become a benchmark for all the companies, and not only the Italian ones, producing modern, classic and design kitchens. As happened also in the pastyears, the number of foreign visitors has been more than satisfying and, according to the organisers of the event, the fair could be even moresuccessful, if the cloud caused by the Icelandic volcano, which paralysed airtraffic, especially in North Europe, had nothalted many other potential visitors. In spite of the cloud and of the crisis that isstill affecting many sectors (although kitchens seem to have resisted betterthan other furniture sectors), Eurocucina has fulfilled expectations, and thenumbers show the success of the fair: 155 exhibitors coming from all overItaly, form Germany (even more present than in the past years), Austria,France, Republic of San Marino, Russia, Spain, Sweden, Ukraine, and the States;a 32,500 mexhibitory space; 4 pavilions entirely dedicated to the fair. As always,Eurocucina has been a huge showcase for the company producing all kinds ofkitchens (from the classic to the modern ones, from wooden to built-inkitchens), but also furnishings. An event that is getting more and moreimportant for all the companies of this sector, which consider such eventsimportant to relaunch their business, as well as to continue exporting Italiankitchens, famous for their aesthetic value and their quality, which are uniquein the world, also on foreign markets.
Eurocucina is also meant to highlight that thisroom has multiplied its functions, and from a bare space used to cook and possiblyeat food, it has become a real place of socialization, also conceived towelcome guests and to do many daily activities in it. Form the pavilions ofEurocucina a new trend has emerged: trying to create new types of kitchens, which can keep pace with the changes that the idea we have of kitchen isundergoing, and meet the different needs of different costumers. Way musttherefore be given to kitchens which are more and more modern, to fittedkitchens, which can be personalized according to different needs, and to newand unusual materials.
In conjunction with Eurocucina also FTK(Technology for the Kitchen) has been held: this is an event dedicated tobuilt-in appliances and cooker hoods, which has hosted 26 of the most importantcompanies of this sector. A unique chance to discover the prototypes of theappliances that are not on sale yet, but that we might use in the near future.
