Color. Color is practically the life of any given space. Colors are created when it is hit with a light and is reflected back to the eye, creating illusions of depth. As such, the choice of colors is another important principle in design. Aside from the fact that colors draw the attention to a particular image, colors also increase the visual appeal of an object. Various colors can be created to achieve the desired effect.

Line. This is the primary component of a shape. From the continuous movement of a point along a surface, lines are produced. Practically, the line sets the limit or the boundaries from which the extent of work is done. Lines are characterized by length, direction, and thickness and serves as the building blocks of any design plan.

Shape. The shape is one of the dictating factors of design. Usually, design concepts are derived from the shape of an object or a space. Shapes are areas that are enclosed by lines extended in two dimensions.

Any interior design will definitely work out well as long as the principles and elements of design are observed; and knowledge and creativity are integrated. Whenever you have all these, you can practically design any space that you desire.
